Call for Submissions

Submit your work as a traditional talk, poster, or interactive pitch!

For this conference, you are able to contribute with one of three types of submissions: an Abstract, a Poster or Demo, and a Pitch. Use the buttons below to choose a template for your submission, information is available in Word and in PDF.

đź’ˇ Tip: Use the Posters and Demos template to submit a demo. We welcome demos from larger EU programmes to show their progress.

The conference accepts both abstracts and ’short papers’. If you just want to submit an abstract, you can ignore the non-abstract parts of the template, such as introduction and references.

Check the specific track information to see which types of submissions are accepted with the track of your preference. We welcome research across the following themes:

  • Supply chain

  • Infrastructure

  • Urban planning

  • Digital systems and AI

  • Disaster management

  • Energy

  • Governance

  • Resilience assessment methodologies

  • Open track

Using the "Details Open Track" button, you will read more about the Open Track. Our aim with this track is to facilitate the submission of manuscripts that delve into subjects beyond the purview of the primary tracks. We particularly welcome submissions that introduce and scrutinize emerging and cross-disciplinary themes.

Please note that abstract submissions will be reviewed anonymously. Author information will be included at a later stage, when the abstracts are prepared for publication. Therefore, check your document to confirm that all identifying information (author names, affiliations, and email addresses) has been removed. Also check the name of the file, the file name should not mention author names. Use the updated templates, dated 21 August 2025.

We plan to publish accepted abstracts in conference proceedings. Selected contributions of the conference can be submitted to the special issue of the conference in the Journal of Contingencies and Crisis Management (JCCM), a leading international journal publishing high-quality research on crisis prevention, planning, response, and recovery. More information online.

Submissions will be handled via an online system. You can register your submission here.
